THIRD AVENUE PLAYHOUSE (TAP)

Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) announces the production of Tom Mula's Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol - December 8th to December 24th. Robert Boles will direct the holiday show with Alan Kopischke in the title role. "Marley was dead, to begin with..." in Charles Dickens classic tale. A Christmas Carol. But what happens to Ebenerzer Scrooge's mean, sour, pruney old business partner after that? Chained and shackled, Marley is condemned to a hellish eternity. He's even given his own private tormentor: a malicious little hell-sprite who thoroughly enjoys his work. Desperate, Marley accepts his one chance to free himself: to escape his own chains, he must first redeem Scrooge.

So begins a journey of laughter and terror, redemption and renewal, during which Scrooge's heart is opened, but not before Marley - in this irreverent, funny and deeply moving story - discovers his own.

Tickets are $27 general admission and $10 students. Tickets to Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol may be purchased at the TAP box office at 234 N 3rd Avenue, Sturgeon Bay (across the street for the theatre in downtown Sturgeon Bay), online at thirdavenueplayhouse.com, or by called 920-743-1760.

PENINSULA PLAYERS THEATRE

Peninsula Players Theatre announces their 82nd season, June 13-October 15, 2017.

The 2017 lineup is: The Actuary, June 13-July 2

Peter and the Starcatcher, July 5 - 23

The Bridges of Madison County, July 26 - August 1

Lord Arthur Savile's Crime, August 15 - September 3

Almost, Maine - September 5 - October 15

The Actuary is a romantic comedy - drama by Steven Peterson that opens with the shock of a "Baby Shower Bombshell", then moves backwards in time to show how they all got here. "Its about the family, it's about love and it's about a man who discovers that, perhaps, he is not the most boring man in the world", said Greg Vinkler, Artistic Director.

Peter and the Starcatcher is the swashbuckling and magical adult prequel to Peter Pan. This Tony Award-winning magical play with music has delighted audiences sine it opened on Broadway.

The Bridges of Madison County is the gorgeous musical version of that best-selling story which won the Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations. This musical captures the lyrical expanse of America's heartland along with the yearning entangled in the eternal question, "What if...?"

Lord Arthur Savile's Crime is a delightfully silly comedy full of muddled murder attempts - an adaptation by Constance Cox of an Oscar Wilde short story.

Love is lost and found among residents of a small northern town in John Cariani's charming off-beat comedy Almost Maine. It takes place in a remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine on a cold, clear, moonless night with the northern lights hovering in the star-filled sky above Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of the love in unexpected and often hilarious ways.

Season ticket sales for the 2017 season begin in January. Individual ticket sales will open in March by phone and online. Advance reservations for group sales and season tickets can be made by phone. Order gift certificates online at peninsulaplayers.com or by calling 920-868-327.
